  1. I use the bugger barn for intruders, leeches and the like as well as a smaller version of that box for wets and wakers. Love them and have used them for several seasons now.
  2. Thanks so much for posting this. It is the first time I have seen anyone mount a wing like these and I am really impressed by how it went. The help on this forum is just off the charts. Maybe one of these days I will quit just drooling every morning when I see the new creations and actually get some materials and start trying to tie a classic. Way, way cool. John
  3. :headbang: Beautiful fly. Wonderful attention to detail.
  4. I'm not one to dwell on semantics too often but it seems to me this is a case where the words make a big difference. I think it is common to be awed by and appreciate a persons skills. To me, that does not equate to respect.
  5. I find this fly absolutely stunning. I have no idea how you were able to execute the body. I have to say that I, for one, am glad you took the time to ground yourself in the basics and pay your dues to learn the techniques and skills the way you so obviously have. Thanks for sharing this work of art.
  6. Luke, If you have access to trying out rods, I would suggest you look at the TFO deer Creek rod in the same size. I think it is less money and the rod just rocks. I think it would be perfect on the Clearwater, or Snake, and only a bit big for the Ronde. I would also look at the 13' for a seven, it is a super dry line rod. Best John
  7. My deepest sympathies go out to his family. I will keep them in my prayers and hope they can find the strength to get through the hard times they face.
  8. My thoughts and prayers for a speedy and complete recovery.
  9. Great fly. That would be absolutely killer on the Clearwater. I will put a couple as close to it as my skills allow in my box for next year.
  10. For my first post, I would like to wish you all the very best of Thanksgiving Days. In considering what I am thankful for this morning, I realized just how much a part of my daily routine coming on this site and seeing all the wonderful flies has become. I have been lurking for about a year and am just blown away by the beauty you all share on a daily basis. Thanks so much for sharing the way you do. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. John
  11. I think you can probably take your phone to a center for whoever you have service from and they will be able to retrieve all your contact info. At least my wife was able to do that with Verizon when she lost, or at least thought it was all gone. If I remember correctly, it cost her $10 Good luck in getting it back. John
