  7. YES! i know exactly how you feel. we have one here in MO. acts just like he is the fly fishing GOD. Everything you know is WRONG...pfft. I asked a question about trout in the area...his reply..." i have a book coming out soon..you should buy it". haven't been back since. Best fly shop i have been to has been Reddings fly shop ( its by bennet springs north of springfeild ), one of the nicest guys you could meet. Respectful of his customers...and just has one "classic" and NICE fly shop.
  8. Lovely rod! question.....single foot any better then snake guides?
  9. Staff at least the height of your waders is always. Safe bet for knowing if the water is too deep for you.
  10. My wulf line still going strong 5 years later
  11. I use alot of mustad hooks, I prefer teimco and daiichi hooks. really just depends on what i am tieing i guess.
  12. I use mostly UNI 6/0 8/0...i do have a some danvile flat waxed nylon, and i do have UTC.
  13. Oakley is the best have worn. Extra lenses can be bought for them as well. They are pricey, but worth it.
  14. i use 7.5' leader on my 6'6" dunno what the X is on it ( tapers to 5-6 pounds) then 2# floro for tip ( 2 foot (ish) )
  15. there is lots of differnce between a 4 and 5 i think. i use a 6'6'' 4 wt. most the time ( fishing spring creeks) i wouldnt be without it....7'6'' is a great little rod for the tight to reach spots. If you are fishing bigger water ( wider ) i would be hauling the 9' 5wt
  16. Wowo lotta MO folks joining the forum...like seeing that welcome from south west MO
  17. i agree with heavynets...and nothing wrong with adding some flash/bling/weight with a bead in the middle....but wire shouldnt be hurting you at all if wrapped. like heavy stated...can tie a larger strip of wire to the bottom of the shank to help add that weight where it is needed/wanted-Jason
