  1. You know, if DFix is talking in code, then he could actualy be saying to keep on going. (Or he could be serious and telling us in code all his evil schemes )
  2. Just flatten monofilament of different thicknesses in the jaws of your vise or between any other flat surfaced tool. Hope this helps.
  3. QUOTE better not go to sleep tonight...I got some new avitars just for you and I'm feelin like terrorizing members What happened to your threat? I waited all night as a guest, and yet nothing happened.
  4. QUOTE (steeldrifter @ Apr 5 2005, 04:34 PM) He knows I am just playin with him Yeah. Besides, what else can you do while you are bored and busy writing an assignment on the computer. QUOTE But seriously, B.C do you do fencing through your school or something? I do it for recreation, and I need a life other than growing fat in front of my vise.

  7. Ok, specificaly I like fishing Stoneflies here on the Vancouver Island (B.C.) because they were the first insects I have encountered at the stream. But the mayflies however are a close second.
  8. Great website Caleb, and that's a great idea to sell your flies directly to people (you get the full $2.50 instead of 50 cents ). The Hexagenia fly you made looks pretty sweet, do you mind posting a bigger picture for us?
  9. Well, some fish species have dark green backs so that they can better camaflouge (sp?) themselves, so if a carp juvenille does have the green back then keep the herl there and maybe use something else for the lateral line. The fly just like that looks great as well.
  10. QUOTE (steeldrifter @ Apr 4 2005, 09:54 PM) I put up a privacy fence last summer, does that count? Maybe not quite
  11. Again I want to thank you guys for the kind comments. Feel free to post or PM any criticizm so that I can improve.
  12. QUOTE (fishyfranky @ Apr 3 2005, 04:18 PM) That's a great nymph! How about Pheasant's Harey Ear? That sounds good. Or rearange what you said and you get Harey Pheasant QUOTE How bout .......pheasant tail!! Even though the abdomen and wingcase is PT, I don't think it is quite a PT nymph because it uses mallard flank and hares ear. At the same time I don't want to name it because it is som close to the PT nymph, and I am sure somebody else has thought of a name for it. Thanks for the compliments guys.
  13. Hi, I was wondering if anybody here on the board also does some sort of fencing (Epee, Foil, or Saber). Also, can anyone please direct me to a forum that is practicaly the Fly Tying Forum of fencing? Thanks. P.S. I personaly do Epee fencing
  14. Thanks for the comments guys. MTG- The tail and hackle is mottled brown Indian hen neck feathers, though Golden Pheasant tippits should also look quite well for the tail.
