  1. Smallie Thank You! At times we do forget to be thankful for the freedom that we have, and the scarifices that have been made by some to keep it that way. Thanks for the reminder. Jeff
  2. If its pic posts it could be their format Jeff
  3. Your inage seems fine here. Do you have a firewall?
  4. Have to tried wetting the line before pulling the knot tight? Jeff
  5. I will tell you what works for me most of the time when tying the larger fly I secure the the mono on the top of the hookshank of the first fly, by tying it in and adding a few drops of super glue. Then I tye my fly and incorporate the pattern around this. I leave the mono about 18inches long, then when I get to the stream all I have to do is tye in the dropper to the length I need. Having the line on the top of the hook seems to cut down on my tangles. This may not work for you depending on the size of the first fly and the size of the mono ot tippett. Jeff
  6. Nice Fly!! When I pulled up the nymph it showed the pic, but it also had 1 blank pic. Was that a upload error or did my CPU just not open it. Jeff
  7. Sry sent the regular muddler, on the first link. The 2nd there is the one for the Marabou. this link has step by step. but its in Spanish, but the pics should tell you what you need. The 3rd is in English but I like the finished fly better in the Spanish link. Jeff

  13. Thank you for posting the offer, it is a nice desk, too bad I dont live closer. It is refreashing to see rooms like this, offer things to fellow tyers instead of trying to sell or throw away. Have you conted the local board of education to see if they may be interested?
  14. Zip, I will try again http://www.flyanglersonline.com/flytying/advanced/part3.html Jeff
  15. Zarabanda Fly Thanks for the hint and that is great work that you have showing. Jeff
  16. cvansickler I did see a guy last year on River rd in Tellico that had ,what I thought looked like a good idea. He had taken a padded laptop case and took it to his local leathersmith and had additional compartments installed in the case for his supplies, his vice and other tools were in pockets secured with velcro. It looked pretty neat and he said it worked well for him. Just an idea. Jeff
  17. Zip, Here is another link, this one is dealing with woven hackle flies. I hope this will help. Jeff
  18. luvinbluegills Thank you! I saw the patteren tied at a dealers show. I didnt see it actually tied but did get the basic idea from looking at the finished fly. I think the original I saw was a lot better then my representation. But I did try. Jeff
  19. May I ask how much you intend to spend, has a lot of influence on the suggestion I could give. Jeff
  20. Very nice work! Jeff
  21. flyguy Thank you, but its not as good as some I know. I saw this pattern in a Fishing buyers expo a few months ago. The orig patter was tied with 2 bobbins, one with yellow thread and the other with black, then thread slightly moved with a needle to get the black, uneven highlights, then coated with fexicoat. I cheated and made the body out of yellow thread only and used perm marker to get the black highlights, still looks good, just not as good as the orig I saw. Jeff
  22. Those are some awesome Carp! Jeff
  23. Nomad Thank you! Glad you liked it. I think it looks even better in black. Jeff
