  1. I was out Sunday morning. River was fine. Getting there was the hard part with a foot of snow and downed trees. Gotta love winter steelheading.
  2. In the winter, I use larger jigs up to an 1/8. Summer is a 1/32 with clear and low water in the PNW, at least where I go. I was tying up a few Kilowatts over the weekend. See Dec 07 issue of Fly Fisherman. Not really a jig but tied on a jig hook.
  3. This PNW guy would skate that for late summer steel.
  4. Jigs are my #1 fly for summer and winter steel. it is a 1/32 game with summer water low and clear.
  5. If the price was the same, I would love it if all hooks were barbless since I have to pinch them all anyway. I had a bunch of salmon hooks break last year. Makes you wonder if it was from pinching the barb or just a bad batch of hooks.
  6. Very nice. That egg might also be taken as a Oct Caddis.
