  5. Nice Looks like it will catch fish on the PM for sure -AG
  6. I really like this one :headbang: I like any fly with blue in it I'll have to tie a few of those for this spring. -AG

  8. Green Highlander variation or Lady Amherst in various colors
  9. yep, tied in the round. I just tied in a small piece of zonker for the tail, then palmered everthing from there. Very easy once you get started... took me about 5 minutes. Heres another but in orange (without the crest or teal) -AG

  11. My favorite fly would be the Green Highlander (I just love the way it looks) My least favorite fly would be the Green Highlander ... no matter how hard I try, I just cannot get this fly to come together for me.
  12. Thanks, I'll have to try that. And about that hackle... :dunno: I didnt even notice until you pointed that out. Someone must have snuck in last night and done that.
  13. Thanks for the info. The hooks I have been using are Alec Jackson Spey 3/0... they are the only ones I have right now, but I will take the advice and chop one down tonight. I have been using UNI floss for my bodies and for the life of me, I cant ever get it to lay flat. I just use my fingers when putting the floss on the bodies because I feel I have more control, is this the wrong way or do I just have crappy floss? Thanks -Gigandet
  14. I still need some practice, and to learn a little more patience. At least I'm starting to make the heads a little smaller. As always, comments and suggestions are welcome -Gigandet
  15. Thanks for the input. I can never seem to get the heads as small as I would like. I bought some new thread tonight so I will give it a try (Ultra thread 140 instead of the 210 that I have been using) Dave Carne sent me some patterns, so I think I will give them a shot instead of looking at my materials and guessing what would look good. -Gigandet
