Here is an unusual one for you. At work I put a coating around worm eggs. Some guy raises them, harvest them and sends them to us to coat them. They are sold by gardening mail order magazines. The "scrap" comes in vey handy. My yard has an abundance of worms. Easy to harvest. Robert

I'm an amateur but enjoy doing it. I guess I would fit between competent and professional. I can tye most anything , however "tye it fast" does not describe me. The sixth or seventh in a row most definatley looks better than the first. On second thought I must be competent, I have never weaved anything for instance so who knows if I can do it. I am really digging the "paraloop" mehtod lately though. Robert

That didn't work, I still have to figure out how to post pics Robert

Here is my desk. It started out life as a computer desk. I like the fact I can close it all up. What do you think? Robert

The other book I was thining about was Innovative Flies and Techniques. It is a more in depth look at some of the innovative methods used to tie some of the flies in the Federation of Fly Fishers Fly Pattern Encylopedia. 40 bucks spiral, 50 bucks sprial hardbound. Has anybook seen this book, I have only read the ad for it? Thanks Robert

Nice work, I don't think it lacks anything except a trout bitting on it. I am sure that will come in time

Looks like a good book, thanks for the suggestion

Thanks Uncletube, I use a Regal vice and love it but.........my buddy uses the DynaKing. If I were to switch that is what I would get. I don't see that happening but if I ever strke it rich it would be a nice guest vice. Robert

Has anybody seen the dvd they have out with this tool? It looks interesting but kind of steep in price. Thanks Robert

Unncletube, Let me know what you think. I am really interested is seeing what someone who has used it thinks. I really like the thought of being able to use thread on the spools it comes on for this bobin. 80 bucks is a whole lot for a bobin but my rods, reels, vise, and hackels were not cheap either. Christmas is coming up after all and it would sure be better than getting another sweater. Thanks Robert
-
So it seems like nobody here has actually triend this bobbin. Pricey yes but when you are tying what tool spends the most time in your hands? I'm not saying I am ready to buy but I may be interested. Can someone point me to hte "other board" where they were talking about it? Many thanks Robert

Great idea on the glow in the dark nail polish. It made me think of something else. There is a store called Del Sol. Everyting they sell changes colors in sunlight. They sell nail polish. On top of the water the fly would be one color, as it sinks it sould change colors. What do you guys think, too much time on my hand or worth a try. At he very least if you get a hot colr no one would be able to figure out what you were using since they would only see it in the sunlight. Robert

I use a regal rotary pedestal. I like it well enough. The biggest thing I like about it is that I tend to anchor my palm right on the vice. It rotates, nut does not really spin around. If I ever change it will be to get something I can literally spin around. RObert
