  2. I am planing on going. I was there years ago. I assume it is still a good show.
  3. Thanks for the info guys. Always a help as usual. Sometimes it seems to me like the questions I post are kinda stupid. But hey, what the heck... That's what the forum's for and if I or someone else can gain from the question being answered then everybody wins. Willow... PM is on the way.
  4. Is there any technique for getting the hackle on the fly body (orange parson for example) to stay pointing down and not out to the sides of the hook? When it is wrapped it sticks out in all directions. I pulled it down with my fingers which works somewhat. Any advice would be appreciated.
  5. Welcome!! As a beginner, you're in the right place. There is a wealth of information available on this forum and plenty of good people willing to share it with you.

  7. I have been tying with various colors of uni-floss and I've always seperated the 2 strands to get a single strand to tye in. Today I started using the black uni-floss and it seems like it is a single strand. I couldn't seperate it into 2. Seems kinda weird. Anybody else notice this?
  8. thanks for the input Ronn. I thought someting didn't look quite right with that head.
  9. A new addition to the fly pattern database has been submitted by suskiefisher: Gold & Red Strip Wing
  10. The hardest part of this fly was the wing. I'm finally getting the hang of getting them to set on top of the hook correctly. Sometimes the wing would cock up in the air when I tightened the thread. I think this is caused by a thread bump at the tye in point. Anyway.... here it is. let me know what you think.
