Either way is fine, depends solely on where you want them in relation to the size of the fly, and what you use for eyes. Dumbell eyes I would do them right after the collar of arctic fox is in, if it is adhesive eyes, add them in at the end on the mophead.

Thanks Steve, means a lot. This fly is going saltwater in another 12 days as I am going to see what the stripers on Cape Cod think of it. Might bring the materials with me to add a few things and alter a couple of things if need be, hook style obviously.

Sure do. If I am going to add eyes I have been real partial to the new Aluminum dumbell eyes by Hareline. You can add a large eye without the weight. This is a multi-species pattern, smallies love it.
