If HB 187 becomes law, there will be fewer places still to fish in Utah. Thanks for your story Jeff, I am not quite sure where you are talking about. Brian

One Ugly Fly!

Interesting thread... I am new to all of this, fishing and tying and was given a basic tool kit by what was then someone I didn't know at the time, from a local fly fishing board. I thought it would be nice to give him a dozen flies as a thanks for the kit. I mentioned that I'd like to do this recently and he said nothing. Is fly choice that personal that someone might decline such a gift? Brian

Right On! I am slowly, but surely working on mine. Brian

Impressive stuff! I love the pen. I'll be emailing him soon too. Thanks for sharing. Brian

I am a vet, and a very fortunate one at that. I spoke to Dan last night, but he made no mention of this, but put me down for some stimulators, I like tying that fly. I should be able to do two dozen by April. Brian

This is my tying area. The bench is an IKEA dresser/hutch that I got from my sister who no longer wanted it. I set the area up earlier this year so the bench isn't as clean now. Plus I have carpet that cover the entire area now, and a shelf on the end wall where I put my rods and hang my waders, and I have lots of fishing related stickers all over the bench now. My advice, you don't need to spend a lot, find a piece of good used furniture from someone, use craigslist or talk to your friend's and family, a lot of people have old furniture they no are longer using and would probably love to get it out of their home. The only things I bought other than the tying stuff, were the two lamps, everything else I either already had or was given. Good luck! Brian

That's what I was looking for! I guess I need another type of foam though. But what fishinbub posted something that is helpful to me right now though, I only have the type of foam that you'd use for be hopper sandwiches and beetles. Which makes the body look bubbly and not segmented. Segmented meaning decorative! Thanks! Brian

I am involved in a swap with a local fishing forum and have decided to tie a stimulator, and want to do as many different variations as I can. One of the ways I'd like to do it is to use foam for the body, but I am having a difficult time putting it on in a decorative way. Anyone have any suggestions, etc, maybe a pic or two too? Thanks! Brian

The camera is a Holga, usually thought of as a toy camera. Thanks for commenting! Brian

I used to have a picture on my website of a fortune cookie fortune, that I got on two separate occassions, that said, "Talents that are not shared, are not talents" Thanks for commenting! Brian

Why do you think that is Jay? You know that site far better than I do. Thanks for commenting! It means a lot coming from you. Brian

No, I haven't I am more or less a straight Holga kind of guy, although I do have a PinHolga from www.holgamods.com. Thanks for taking a look at my site and your kind words! Brian
