  2. Received flies from troutnabout and eastern fly today. Both sets a really nice and look like some real good fish catchers :yahoo:

  4. Received a package from north of the border today. tyrite, let me just say you out done yourself. The quality, effort, and time you put into those is amazing. Also, I really appreciate the x-tra flies. Kudos to you :cheers: I was going to post what tyrite had tied, but I think I'll let you all be surprised like I was :yahoo:

  7. WOW. I received flies from DHise today. These are really nice. Thanks for the x-tra something DHise. I was not expecting that! But, it is greatly appreciated and will be used real soon :cheers: I did not know how this swap would turn out because of the time of year and my fisrt swap and all, but I have received three sets of flies so far and have got to say that I am very impressed.

  9. DHise, I go to the post office with my flies and box inside the return envelope and have them way it. If your short on postage, don't worry. I got it!!
  10. Just received Gurglers from Pat Carroll. Pat these are awesome. I really liked what you did with the different colors and materials :headbang: You guys are really going to like these. I'm thinking large mouth bass in my pond. Oh, thanks for the x-tras. Greatly appreciated.
  11. Great! I look forward to seeing them. I've only got 4 tied. My problem is I'll tie 2 0r 3 of the same fly and then I'll get bored with it and have to tie something different.

  14. Ok, I believe DHise is in with a pattern tbd I will send my address when you post you are ready to send
  15. One pattern I found to be extremely easy was tying egg patterns with McFly Foam
  16. I like them all and #5 is a really nice tie. But, I think the rubber legs on #1 will catch more bass
  17. Fred, how about an all inclusive beginner CD. That is one with the less difficult patterns.
  18. I don't know if this is a suggestion but rather more of a question. What about thinning the head cement with a thinner?
  19. For warmwater: a wet or dry spider depending on the time of year or conditions
  20. I know this isn't practical for everyone, but if you can, try getting your hands on a pair of surgical scissors. I had nothing but the el cheapos. I then got my hands on a pair of the surgical scissors and what a difference :headbang:
