I got the flies mailed out today, they should be there soon

to tie a mrch brown flymph hook: std or 1xl wet fly i used a daiichi 1560 tail: hen neck/saddle, brownor furnace body: hares ear dubbing touch dubbed on waxed thread dub dody almost too hookeye and then take bare thread to mid thorax collar: brown or furnace hen tied in at the eye of the hook and wound down thru the thorax area, tied down by spiral wraping thread thru it to hook eye then tied off thread: 8/0 brown i got this pattern out of the book Essential Trout Flies by dave hughs this fly can be found on pg 76

i would get the 8 wt, i will be better suited to handle the bigger /wind resistant flys in bass fishin remember, its the weight of the line that pulls the fly thru the air. the heavier the line, the bigger and bulkier the fly that can be cast , but if your goin after spooky fish or the flies aint all that bulky , you might want a more delicate presentation that the lighter line gives u , but a 7 wt aint all that delicate I personally have a 7 and an 8 wt, i perfer to use my 8 , i really dont like my 7 wt all that much, but , thats me.

im in a swap, and the sm send out a deadline reminder to all the swapers, why is it when the other swapers reply to the sm, that i am also getting that reply sent to me too. ( i think it is also being sent to all the other swapers too, but im not sure) i think that the other swapers are not intending for me to get the reply pm either because they are address only to the sm.

I have no clue if I got your flies sorry. I couldn't tell if i got them b/c i didn't open every envelope i received .And i think you didn't put your username on the outside envelope? I was just counting the envelopes only. Once i got the right amount i was going to swap them for everyone. But your questions decided it for everyone that day. So the ones i had on had went RTS and any others i had gotten in the mail after they were sent out.... no , i did not put my username on the outside of the envelope, but i did have it on the altoids tin, and toetags on every fly , i mailed it in a mamella envelope, but the flies were in a padded envelope inside the manela, it would have come from pittsburgh pa

i never got my flies back, i guess since i never got the direct answer to my did you get the flies yet question, i will never know if they were ever recieved, but the do you want me to RTS the flies says you got them. to all the other swapers im sorry, i only wanted my flies back after what i thought was a totaly out of line reply to an honest question that was ignored for too long. i think blizz79 is right

Dude please relax...I only have 8 of the 13 envelopes at this present time. Edit: I Posted 9 but i just noticed now one is a Ebay item i had received that got mixed in with the other swap envelopes. If i don't get anymore soon, I'll swap what i do have and mail them out when i get the chance. Or would you rather have me just RTS yours???? I can do that no problem for you if you like??? The mail lady takes & delivers mail from my post box 6 days a week. As for right now i'm busy tying my tail off or out fishing the trico hatch early mornings in NJ, PA, or NY almost everyday. So many long days driving and fishing. So sorry this swap is on the back burner at this time as the flies should of been all swapped and mailed back to you swappers. Also as of now, fly fishing & fly tying is just far more important to me then swapping flies an updating this thread well past the due date. As i can see just like other things in life is for some members who can't even tye 12 flies up in a given time and have them mailed to me on the due date Really? How long does a dozen flies really take one person on the vise? No longer then 90 minutes i would guess for most? And how many hours do i give you swappers to get them flies tyed up? I don't even want to see the answer i think.. ok, It's 24 hours in a day. And i think i gave 35 days on this one? so it 24x35=840 hours one had to get the flies in so the SM could swap flies on or around the date that was given since they had free time on /around that date? Now someone want's to rush me or keep asking me for updates b/c it's now 8 days past the date? Sorry pal, It's full out trico time. ive decided to do a march brown flymph. Its a soft hackled nymph pattern, and so far they are turnin out great

I agree once again with all that is being stated. The ant swap however, went completely unmonitored by admins. Flon18 was not supposed to be allowed to host a swap. The swap went unnoticed to admins. . No excuse to why this happened? No apology for the mishap. Who moderates the moderators?? As for Justin Nolf of NC, I liked the idea of mail fraud charges being filed. Ill sign a statement or whatever. Its real easy to blame someone else when something goes bad, but you gotta ask what did you do to enable it , did you check to see if the person hosting the swap completed their swaps and was able to host, did you look at the number of posts he made and see how active they were, did you look to see how long he was a member of the forum. did you question the sm to see if did everything he was supposed to. or did you simply type " im in " yea, its real easy to blame the mods for not doin their jobs, when you didnt even do yours. and before you say it, i have done all those things, in the past, about swaps i was thinkin of joining and because of my questioning, the swaps sometiomes didnt happen.

clicking the arrow on the far right only gets me to the most recent message, or the most recent convrsation , it dosnt allow access to all the messages stored, im trying to access the ones that i read when i got them but didnt delete. ok, why do you have an arrow, the one closest to your username in the upper right corner, that when clicked shows a dropdown menu but then takes you to your profile a second later , why dosnt it allow you access to the dropdown menu or take you to your profile, as soon as clicked, what im trying to do is get to the messages screen

i think its because the newness has wore off, and it becomes a grind, answering the same questions, tying the same flies , etc.... over and over again, like a mini groundhog day. and after a bit you just stop showing up..... i miss the old photo shop battles that SD used to do, but somehow they became politicaly incorrect and dont happen anymore

Im trying to get to my personal messages, when i click on my username in the upper right corner to get the dropdown menu, the menu drops down, but a second later i get sent to my profile page, and the dropdown menu goes away ,not allowing me to click on the messages part on the dropdown menu, when i try again the same thing happens, im starting to feel like a dog chasing its tail in order for me to get to the messages , i have go to a post by any other member and click as if i want to send them a pm, it takes me to the messages menu, from there i can select what i want . there has to be an easier way, or do i need to shoot my computer
