  2. oh yes i catch read ear sunfish(shell crackers) on this fly,i do not know what it is but they love it.

  4. when you are caught sleeping with your vise.
  5. i buld these, this one is a 52lb thrust motor guide with stick steering,i fish this pirogue for blue gill and red ear here in louisiana. very good in timber and shallow water, but not a rough water boat. it is getting old and has been patched a few times but still gets the job done,i guess i need to build another this year. gators stink.
  6. chinks, aka redear sunfish, nothing like a big chink on a fly rod in timber .
  7. i like it,i will wipp up a few ,i bet the gills,and chinks will love it,nice.
  8. i use a peak ,which is a rotary,i use the rotary feature all the time,i tie off the hackle, estaz exc, make a run to the eye a quick half hitch. hang the bobbin on the cradle and spin it on . i find this a lot faster and i get a good look at the fly . to me it makes it easy to get uniform bodies and wraps,it take getting use to i tied on a non rotary vise for twenty yrs. it is not for every one ,but i am glad i bought the peak ,i am a rotary convert now.
  9. 2,4,8,&10,most of my gills and chinks are caught on 2s & 4s.although sometimes they want it small, thus 8s&10S.
