How is this even possible? It seems like everytime you try to put a tail fiber/feather in the loop they all fall out. Are there any tricks to this I am unaware of?
Is there a special way to place them in the loop (beside buying the $40 Magic tool)? Advice is appreciated.
THanks CC

Hello All,
This is officially my first post for tying of my own. Here are a couple of patterns that I have made up, one of which is not mine ( whoa Nelly).
The other 4 are my own creations. I hope to experiment with them for Kings this fall. Trying to make it out there ASAP. If not they should work for the Cohos.
Let me know what you think.

Lets have a swap for those of us that may make it out west this summer.
Hoppers
Scuds
Stimi's
PMD's
ants
streamers
I would host but I cannot, I don't have enough swaps under my belt.
I think this would be a cool one.

Hennies were hatching on the AuSable yesterday. This little guy landed on my Cliff box.
One thing is wierd about this picture, where are his tails? Genetic Defect? I say "his" because he is darker in colour, the females are usually lighter.
Tight lines,

Hello All,
Just wondering if anyone can share some patterns with me. I am looking for a BWO emerging patt. and any other flies that would be good opening weekend, may Hendrickson or some black caddis.

I just wanted to say hello to everyone. This seems like a really informative web forum, and I'm really excited to be a part of this group.
I have just started tying about 2 weeks ago and boy am I hooked ( no pun intened). I can already see that this is just going to be another addiction of mine, as my wife would say.
I am planning a trip out to West Yellowstone, Montana this summer and would like to use some patterns that I create. Any advise or insight would be much appreciated.
Hope to be posting alot in the future.
Thanks,.
Corey C.

I would suggust to be more sparse. Also leave the Ostrich Herl points on and just tie in shorter if needed.
