  1. Hey, does anyone have a pattern, photos of, or link to The Kraken This is a Russ Madden (Circus Peanut creator) articulated streamer. Thank you. -Grey-
  2. Wow, thanks for all the replies. Very helpful for sure.
  3. This is a follow up to my thread on Harvey Night Flies. Here's an image of a couple of these flies. Harvey Night Flies What kind of feathers are those? They should be some kind of breast feathers according to Mr. Harvey's descriptions for tying. What bird?
  4. Thanks all. Here's a pictures of what they are calling pheasant hearts. The site says that they are from the neck and breast. Pheasant Hearts? Does that look about right? Is that what I'm looking for?
  5. Hi. Sorry to barge in and start asking questions. I've often come here and searched through past posts to find an answer, but this time, no luck. I'm tying Harvey Night Flies. Anyone familiar? I'd like to tie them with a variety of wing materials and see what I prefer. Mr. Harvey, in his book, suggests "heavy quilled breast feathers from goose or duck, depending on size," and Joe Humphreys suggests goose breast or pheasant breast feathers. It has also been recommended to me to tie the wings with turkey breast feathers, which I have done. What can you tell me about the goose, pheasant, and duck breast feathers? Are they called "hearts" for pheasant? What are goose coquilles? The breast feathers? -Grey-
  6. Hello all: Does anyone have a pattern and/or picture of the Woodchuck Sculpin as mentioned in Tom Rosenbauer's book "The Orvis Guide to Prospecting For Trout?" I've been looking around the web for it with no luck. Many thanks. Enjoy the day. Grey
