    Quill Gordon

Excelent fly, very nice photo! I tested some pool chemicals with chlorium to de-flue peacock quills. It makes them more fragile, but can be tied with care... You can make hundreds of stripped quils in 10 minutes. It maybe will help Karel

    Scud Help

Hi, if I understand, you would like to tie a scud with parasite - scud with parasite is usualy lighter color with ORANGE spot in its body. Orange parasite changes metabolics in gammmaruses body, so the scud is loosing its "invisibily"===> natural atractor (parasite needs to be eaten by fish). EDITED: for pattern: hook: Maruto C15 debarbed body: light rabbit dubbing & orange syntetic dub. ribbing: leather line (monofil) 0,14mm back: flash flexibody strip
  20. Fred H.> You right! Mickalo> Is this the material you speaking about ? :
  21. rhinorods69> thanks for you ideas. I tried to tye simply & realistic & fast caddis pupa - this is the result of my formula . I cut rubber gloves with sharp blade or knife, its OK for smaller amounts.
  22. I fish tungsten doubles sized #16 by French style up the stream at small clear streams and it works great...better than commonly weighted patterns I think. Of course its depending on many impacts. It isn't to expensive I think - 2 tungsten beads could cost about 0,22 Euro, hook & material as well = your fly is for 0,5 Euro. Not to bad
  23. ooh, good question, Im interested too. I tried strips of gummy gloves, but Im not sure if result is similar to fly tyed from sili skin...
