  1. I have a 9' 5 wt. fly rod that I have been using for trout fishing but I was hoping for some suggestions on a good leader and tippet setup for largemouth bass. I am wanting to fish for them on top but, I am just wanting some input on my setup. Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. I was wondering if someone could tell me the differences in the ways that you fish with a wet fly pattern vs. a streamer pattern? How do you set up to fish a streamer? Do you let it dead drift with the current and mend your line or do you fish them in some other way? Thanks.
  3. I noticed that many of the heads on the streamers that are tied have a very glossy tapered head. Is there some sort of special head cement that you use when tying them to give them this effect?
  4. Wow... that was an awesome tie. Is that some sort of crochet tie for the body? That is a great fly and a great video. Keep up the great work.
  5. Wow...thanks you guys for the great information. Pregrines that link helped out a lot. Thanks.
  6. I have only been tying for a little while and I was wondering if someone could explain to me the differences in hackles? Are there dry fly and wet fly hackles? Are there soft and stiff hackles? Right now I tie with only the few materials I have and I would like some information about the feathers and materials used in tying. Thanks.
  7. I was wondering how you can make your own dubbing brushes. I love how the coloration comes out.
  8. Those look great. Do you make your own dubbing brushes and mixes? The colors are magnificent.
  9. I have been tying for two years now and have also build my own rod. I have enjoyed every aspect of fly fishing and I hope to continue for the rest of my life.
  10. I think that the thin skin looks great for tying, but I have never used it before. Is it easy to use? I am just looking for some tips from people have used it. Thanks.
  11. I was wondering what kind of indicators you use? What types of situations are best for what indicators? I have heard of just watching the very tip of your floating line as your indication of a bite but I would like more clarification on the subject. Thank You
  12. I am new to fly fishing and I wondering if someone could tell me how I should decide whether to use a sinking line or floating line or wet or dry flies. I am just a bit confused on how to choose what set-up to use in the different situations. Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you.
