  7. I don't have any suggestions for you, other than googling the flies, But I will join you in lamenting small color pictures in fly tying books. The standard publishers (or art director, etc) solution for fly photos is to to line up 8 - 20 flies on a blue background and make one color plate. Obviously a color plate is more expensive to print than a page of text, or a b/w illustration, but if I ever ran into a fly tying book with 1/2 page color photos of individual flies, I would buy it in a minute. In a way, much as I like books, I think the internet is a superior medium for the subject. Michael
  8. Ok, mine are in the mail. Michael

  10. Guess I better get busy. (the comparadun swap has been driving me nuts, but almost done with it.). I've got my cdc fly fine tuned, and all the materials, so should not be a problem. Michael

  13. About a week or two ago the wild turkeys around here were getting amorous and an unlucky pair wandered onto the highway a few minutes before I came along - I stopped and grabbed an intact wing, already neatly separated from the body. I scraped a little meat off it, freezer for 3 days, salt and borax and it looks (and smells) good. My first road kill - though I can see the need to be careful about infestation. Michael
  14. Very nice caddis. I can fish those. Michael
  15. I take it this is something other than tying with the aid of a certain herb - most flies I've seen from that method are a little fuzzy.. I am sure someone will be along that can help you, welcome to the forum. Michael
