Rolled in from Montana late last night... and yep, end of Sept works great for me too.
-
A lot of your standard attractor patterns work well--at least in our Sierra mountains, and I've fished up to 11,000 ft. Royal Wulff, Elk Hair Caddis, Adams, and Stimulator, if you're going for the top. Subsurface, Pheasant Tail nymph, Copper John, Bird's Nest, Gold Ribbed Hare's Ear, and soft hackles are all fish catchers. Have fun, and enjoy the view. Trout don't live in ugly places :-)

Thanks! Glad to be here. Montana is calling right now, but when I'm back I'll be tying. My invitation has been sent.

Being fortunate enough to live down the road (literally) from fishybob, I had the good fortune of sharing lunch today and picking up a great set of flies. You all are really going to like them. A lot of work went into these little beauties. Kudos to tiers, and huge thanks to Bob for hosting!

Wow, that was fast! I go to the mailbox today and what do I find? A fantastic assortment of prince nymphs. Truly, some really nice ties. Thanks a bunch David for hosting.

The Lords are leapin'! No, wait, that's a song. Actually, the Dark Lords have left the building and are on their way.
-
Pesca Roberto, it's a Royal Coachman for me.

Oooo, yeah, I'm in. Pattern coming soon...

David, I'm in with Hart's Dark Lord. Killer pattern and super effective!

Jburge,
That would be the box and flies (front four compartments) that I had given. I hope you had a great holiday!
Sweet! Thanks for the awesome set (and box). Can't wait to hit the water ASAP :-)

Received a fabulous set of flies from this swap, but I have a confession. Amidst the onslaught of children, grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, et. al, the wrapping paper (and most importantly, name tag) got tossed into recycle, which means I don't remember who gave me this way cool box and flies. So THANK YOU to the one responsible for this gift (who was it???), and THANKS to vicrider for hosting. Happy New Year!

I got a box of fabulous flies. Well done everyone and thanks Bob for hosting.
Jburge, the lunch? Merry Christmas everyone.
Ha, yeah. BBQ was Bob's idea, although he got no argument from me :-)

Some REALLY nice flies are now in hand. Wow. fishingbob and I did a tag team with the sending and receiving of the flies, and I finally had a chance to meet him for lunch (super tasty BBQ) and take the handoff. Thanks Piker for hosting. Great idea. Can't wait to get to the water with these in hand.

Had the privilege of meeting up with fishingbob for an awesome BBQ lunch (you know nothing says Christmas like smoked brisket), and picked up a gorgeous set of caddis. Thanks Bob for hosting and the Christmas goodies :-)

Jburge It is good to hear you are not floating away.
Ha! Came pretty close. I could almost float my kayak in the backyard yesterday :-0

It's starting to look a lot like Christmas... Nicely wrapped package arrived in the mail. It's gonna be hard to wait until the 25th. Thanks for hosting! Amazing amount of work, and it's greatly appreciated!

UPDATE - Jimdbrems flies have been in the mail a little while and hopefully landing any day. I am planning on giving him until 05th Dec and if no flies by then we will see where we are.
Is everyone else OK with waiting till 5th? Thanks to vicrider we all have an extra 'free' fly anyway plus the extra from the drop out so we won't feel short changed.
I'm OK with the 5th...

Henrik, great I'll keep eye out.
Two great sets in from fishing bob and jburge. Bob has done us all an extra fly, thank you sir. Jburge your Kates are delicate little ladies indeed. I'm looking forward to trying them especially on dropped with a larger point fly for seatrout.
Hopefully as the mail man arrives we'll be full.
Sweet! Glad you like the Kates. I honestly can't wait to fish 'em myself as soon as I get the opportunity.

Flies officially departed first thing this morning...

Show-off! -- You know I'm kidding :-))

Welcome to the three "J"s. Only two spots left!
Bob, mine's gonna be a CDC Parachute Caddis :-)

You know I'm in, my good man. I hear the roads are safer now that the old rattler is staying home for awhile.
Hmmm... roads safer? Nah, the only thing safer is my bank account, because I'm not at the fly shop. LOL
-
Hows everyone closing down with their flies? Couple of weeks tying time left if they are guaranteed to arrive with international mail.
Piker, mine are now done. fishingbob and I are going to send ours together since, well, we don't live more than 10 miles apart.
Sorry for the delay in reply. Been doing WAY more traveling than normal this last month. However, the good news is, it looks like I'm done having to hit the road for the rest of the year.
Thanks for the swap. Great idea!

I'll play--either a soft hackle or tenkara fly.
