  1. A lot of your standard attractor patterns work well--at least in our Sierra mountains, and I've fished up to 11,000 ft. Royal Wulff, Elk Hair Caddis, Adams, and Stimulator, if you're going for the top. Subsurface, Pheasant Tail nymph, Copper John, Bird's Nest, Gold Ribbed Hare's Ear, and soft hackles are all fish catchers. Have fun, and enjoy the view. Trout don't live in ugly places :-)

  2. Being fortunate enough to live down the road (literally) from fishybob, I had the good fortune of sharing lunch today and picking up a great set of flies. You all are really going to like them. A lot of work went into these little beauties. Kudos to tiers, and huge thanks to Bob for hosting!

  3. Received a fabulous set of flies from this swap, but I have a confession. Amidst the onslaught of children, grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, et. al, the wrapping paper (and most importantly, name tag) got tossed into recycle, which means I don't remember who gave me this way cool box and flies. So THANK YOU to the one responsible for this gift (who was it???), and THANKS to vicrider for hosting. Happy New Year!

  4. UPDATE - Jimdbrems flies have been in the mail a little while and hopefully landing any day. I am planning on giving him until 05th Dec and if no flies by then we will see where we are.

Is everyone else OK with waiting till 5th? Thanks to vicrider we all have an extra 'free' fly anyway plus the extra from the drop out so we won't feel short changed.

    I'm OK with the 5th...

  5. Henrik, great I'll keep eye out.

Two great sets in from fishing bob and jburge. Bob has done us all an extra fly, thank you sir. Jburge your Kates are delicate little ladies indeed. I'm looking forward to trying them especially on dropped with a larger point fly for seatrout.

Hopefully as the mail man arrives we'll be full.

Sweet! Glad you like the Kates. I honestly can't wait to fish 'em myself as soon as I get the opportunity.

  6. Hows everyone closing down with their flies? Couple of weeks tying time left if they are guaranteed to arrive with international mail.

Piker, mine are now done. fishingbob and I are going to send ours together since, well, we don't live more than 10 miles apart.

Sorry for the delay in reply. Been doing WAY more traveling than normal this last month. However, the good news is, it looks like I'm done having to hit the road for the rest of the year.

Thanks for the swap. Great idea!
