  3. put something white or contrasting behind your flies that will stop the clutter shut your flash off adjust your angles of the light and or the backdrop to reduce shadows use your macro lens and fix/crop after saving your pics the more things you try the better your pics and flies will become this pic would stand out with something solid behind it just the way it is

  5. its a flat rubber leg called barred and speckled crazy legs in a bonefish tan color i do have a smaller rubber legs but it is black round and im not fond of it ill have to see about a smaller leg material
  6. i live 2 miles away from there but tend to use much simpler flys over there because of all the logs
  7. this is the black hills gold stone its maiden swim was last month i caught a 4lb skipper steelhead on it that day the additional pic is a golden stonefly with tubing instead of diamond braid i have yet to fish this or the red fox squirrel fly

  10. you think the fly is to big or the rubber legs the fly is a sz.10 actually small for my one of my patterns i fish rubber leg patterns all the time and trim them so they wont get wrapped in the bend of the hook on the cast i would like to hear what you think so i can make the correct adjustments

  14. the video is kelly galloups he is threading the trailer fly on but then putting both wires down the front hook eye and bending them under the hook and secureing them so there will never be a pull out i have used 30lb braid for along time but the loop doesnt stay open like wire therefore reduceing action i just thought i might have the wrong hook but i just tryed a 1/0 tarpon hook and the 2 pieces of .24 would not go down the eye in that so im going to have to buy a much thinner wire i think thanks for the feed back when i get it right i will post the hook and wire i finally use
  15. i just bought a video of articulated flies i bought the 40lb .024 wire they called for i bought #2 straight eye streamer hooks heres the problem the wire wont double through the eye of the first hook the way its supposed to what size wire are you guys using to connect your flies together with and what name brand hook are you using that has a large enough eye to double the wire through the video said any hook you choose and was making them all the way down to #8s but didnt say anything about changing the size of the wire need your help putting together my double zoo cougars so i can catch the big one
  16. roast the coon in barbecue sauce and onions at 350 for 1 1/2 hours you will need to wash the coon more times than its worth as a flytying material so only take the tail the tail is a great natural color with the same texture as calf tail

  18. i used to fish the st clair at the mouth of the black river all the time we always casted spoons or spawn bags its deep off the board walk rail no need to touch bottom just drift deep the fish suspend bobbers work good in the black
  19. i use one but it turns masterbright to dust when you try to add it to hair but works great on hair off the skin watch out mixing lots of colors or you will have more grey fur than you know what to do with
  20. im a montana stone kinda guy both brooks and the other pattern the original brooks fly calls for a rib of copper wire in his book NYMPH FISHING FOR LARGER TROUT but i have also seen it tied with flat brown mono you tie this pattern very well just enough gills
