I woke up to late this morning and missed it, but it's on again tomorrow at 0900 on ESPN2. Flip rides his Harley up to S. Carolina for some Bass/Blue Gill fishing on the old fly Rod..........I think i can be up by 0900, but then again, it is Saturday night.........maybe i should set the recorder........

That looks pretty good........far better than anything I have come up with......It is definitly more durable. That wing material should give you a lot of flash, I like that. At first i was going to suggest putting a big orange spot on the back for better visibility in low light, but those wings should be easy to spot. Just curious, what size hook are you using and how long is your body? I believe in another thread, you mentioned these buggers were 1 1/2" long?

Yeah, now that i've thrown a couple together, I think your right.......I was trying to tie them up like a "Madam X" .........I'm just not getting the colors balanced out right.......oh well, back to the drawing board. thanx for the feedback. i would post a photo of my early results, but my camera is acting up, it won't download.

welcome aboard.........things have been a little slow the past couple days, but should heat up tomorrow (sunday). There is also a session scheduled in the chat room at 9:00 pm (Sunday). should be lively this week with all the guys getting back.

Awesome.............I'm playing w/black deer hair head, black chenille body, and I'm making the tail out of some orange Kip tail i had with some flashabou thrown in.......I thought that might be easier for the wing. What do you guys think? i thought because of the body shape and the really long wings, I would use the orange kip tied in at the tail to mimic the wing with the flashabou to mirror the light like the natural clear wing in between the orange veins. I also had some orange elastic to tie in at the head for the legs. Does that sound reasonable? Do you think I'm placing the orange "wing" to low on the body?

Looks Good...........I bet that would be a killer for my local Rock Bass.

thanx guys.........I've been playing around w/both body hair and bucktail and i think i like the bucktail better............I've been playing with a few old patterns trying to find something i like for the Brood X cicadas........from what I've read, it loks like early MAY!!!!!

Never mind.........."Google" helped me out..........

I don't know if they can do that to you from a boat.......If the River runs into the Great Lakes, it may fall under the Federal Navigable Waterways Laws which if I remember correctly, takes you up to the first dam.......hell, i don't know......

the website chat is up............I just got kicked out though........It wouldn't accept my nickname with the "*" in it.........I took it out, used my website password and got right in for about 2 minutes..........It's late, I'll try back next week.

Thanx again guys..............had a great day...........my son won his game........hooked up with a bunch of friends that were in town for the holidays and went to the movie(great movie....sore butt) and went out with everyone afterwards for beer/dinner/good conversation.
