  1. Beautiful. I like the stinger. Were do you usually fish this?
  2. Nice this is great! The height of the bady almost matches perfectly. Great realism too. Nice tie!
  3. Wow man! these are absolutely beautiful. I love the contrast between light and dark colors in some of the flies. Again, props!
  4. Nice, I like it. Nice color choice too! I like silver flashabou and pinks, blues, and greens for Pike.
  5. Ahhh, nice classic tie. It's beautiful. Thanks for posting the recipe with it!
  6. I really like the creamy looking body. Those softies work good on those spring trout. great tie, mate.
  7. Looks pretty good to me. I wouldnt hesitate. I think the fish like innocent and happy insects. Haha. :jumpy:
  8. I like it. It has a nice buggy look to it. Great! :kicking:
  9. actually I found this pattern from New Zealend. A guide over there recomended this fly to my sister's fiance, and he brought it back stateside where we used it for trout here in PA. We werent fishing for the dumb hatchery fish. We were on the Falling Springs Branch and West Antietam Branch for wild bows and browns. They really liked the tie. I think because it was something new and it looks like a drowned or insect. Its must have for a late spring fly box. If you get caught out in the wind, its a great pattern. I'm glad you're interested. If you want I'll send you one or two to have a visual. Heres a nice brown that I caught on the pattern. Just dead drift it in on the edges of rocks and between boulders when it gets hot out. The trout sit and ambush it. Hope it works for ya!

  15. alright thanks. anything I should know about the presentation? :dunno: like where to fish it? deep runs? undercut banks? riffels? and any recommended patterns? I've heard the Morrish Mouse is a good pattern. Any others? Again, thanks for the all your help.
  16. I've read articles about mouse patterns working on large bows in Alaska and large river browns. Would there be a use for them on the tributaries of the Great Lakes? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  17. I was thinking about some articles I've read on large browns and bows that maul mouse patterns in Alaska and on large rivers. Is it possible for mouse patterns to intise a brown or steelie to strike? I've visited the Salmon River region before, and I've never seen or heard of them being used, but could they work? Any help or insight would be much appreciated. Thanks.
  18. I just finished preparing for the biggest storm I've ever seen. 16-22 inches possible. God's watch on everyone weathering it. Keep safe out on the roads. Hope everyone being effected by the snow has a safe weekend and God bless. I'm still dreaming of that warm and sunny day, a light breeze, a shaded creek, a lonely trout, and a screaming reel-- Keep dreaming...in a few months maybe.
  19. Looks nice! Great ties! I love the one with peacock herls, the trout seem to like it's iridescence...if only they were more durable
  20. I like it! Good use of colors...
  21. I like it. I'm wondering would it hurt to make a similar pattern, but thicker? I guess what I'm asking is...would it be worth experimenting with different sizes? I'd like to try to find some new patterns I want to tie, and this is a contender.
