  1. Hey fellas...PM me and we can talk about some pricing info...Thanks...Pat
  2. I sold 17 bass bugs last night...so I'm currently trying to work on more...mainly Hott Butt Toads...
  3. I would agree with all of that as well...nail polish is for fly tyers not girls....I change the density of hair depending on the fly, there are also times that I put hackle feathers in the tail to make a half and half instead of a plain clouser....That fly looks like smallmouth catching goodness to me though...nice work
  4. Ill do a step by step for this one...after the holidays...
  5. man I am envious of these flies...beautiful stuff
  6. thanks all...the dubbing is az simi seal....I do like color...the fish don't seem to mind...
  7. Some nymphs I've been playing with....These are my go to Steelhead nymphs...Sorry..I'm not a swing purist...
  8. I tie Bass bugs...a lot of them...big hooks...1/0 up to 6/0...I tie on a Peak Rotary...I would recommend this vice to anyone...The hook doesn't slip, and I out a ton of pressure on them when stacking hair...
  9. must have missed that one...slacker...lol... thanks again all...
  10. that's a great looking little crappie...I will be borrowing that...thanks...
  11. very nice fly....the bass here would destroy it....good times
  12. thanks all....The bodies are all stacked....I'm not a huge fan of spinning...I don't think you can get the same amount of hair packed on a hook as stacking...As far as the rubber legs, I make the fly, trim it....Steam it...trim it again, then take an embroidery needle and run the rubber legs through the fly and add a little zap a gap to both sides...Works like a charm...
  13. I've been tying these up and fishing the crap out of them for the summer....Large mouths, pickerel, smallies....They seem to be hot numbers at the shows...I thought you would all like them...These were for an order for a friend of mine....He throws them to Pike... There is no hook in the tail, just an articulated tail....Double weed guards, rubber legs and stacked deer hair body...They float in the film, wiggle all over, even when at rest there is movement, they even go under the surface when stripped hard like a diver....I tied them on a Lazer Sharp 2/0 Kahle hook..... Enjoy...
  14. thanks all..... Bruce...anytime you want some ink let me know.... Mr.Vegas....ummm...That is a monstrosity of a gurgler.....Foam...lots of feathers.....big ass hook...3/0....mono weedguards....rubber legs...palmered rabbit folded out inside the body........I think the pickerel and pike round here are going to destroy it...oh yes...
  15. Been playing around with some different styles of streamers for the spring....
  16. looks great to me man...let the fish be the real judge....
  17. a friend of mine makes them using old plastic VHS boxes an foam...
  18. we all started once...I still learn new tricks and tips constantly....post em up....you can only learn from critiques....
  19. thanks everyone... Yes it floats When it is fished.....it falls to one side as if dying...when it's stripped it in it straightens upright for the most part...acting like a dying blue gill...I have a version that I do fish with...It has produced some lunker large mouth The first one of these I made took a few hours....I make a lot of them now for shows and collectors...They take between 1 2/2 and 2 hours... To see more of my flies.... www.gotbronze.blogspot....and on facebook....theinkedfisherman thanks again for the kind words
