  1. I think they look great....Wool pushes a lot of water and sinks fairly well...Nice ties...I add a little red to mine on the bottom sometimes just to break it up...
  2. It is the hammer....I will have to try some of those patterns...Thanks for the intel....
  3. So after a great day on Sunday....I decided to tie up some other patterns to throw this weekend...This steel head/big lake run brown/giant rainbow hunting is a little addicting to say the least. I am usually a warm water fanatic...However....Late fall and early winter has a new fan in the chilly rivers up north.....
  4. the kids were catching them alive.....they were drifting near the bottom....
  5. they are very nicely tied indeed.....Maybe besides ice fishing...you can sell them as crappie or panfish flies...just because they are weighted or tied on jug heads doesn't mean they aren't flies.....nice work
  6. looks like fish catchers to me....
  7. thanks...I'm hoping to get some tomorrow...
  8. Pat works.....Just because I target bass doesn't mean I can be confused with Day5...lol....thanks...
  9. some streamers I came up with for chasing steelhead and big lake run browns this weekend...let me know what you think
  10. Thanks....Kirk....That is a fly lipp.... Bruce...Sunday is steel day.... 25 minutes away vs 2.5 hrs away.....warm water junkie at heart....
  11. I'll be there on Sunday....The water is running at 750cfs right now....It shouldn't be too bad....Be careful...That river is unforgiving....
  12. A streamer idea I have been playing around with....I made one that was not articulated over the weekend, after about 12 pickerel, a monster came up and grabbed it...Bit through 50 lb braid as tippet....So this is version 2, articulated....Tested it this morning...Sunny skies, intermediate sink line, 9ft 8 wt, 52 degree water...Worked like a charm.....
  13. very nice work...I love big streamers
  14. really stained water I like a combination of black and chartreuse...something that pushes a lot of water or has over exaggerated movement
  15. some flies for BigE.....
  16. dude...that photo wasn't supposed to get out yet....damn.....and I have a more defined chest for the record.....ahhahaha
  17. I actually drag it behind my kayak...Like a drift sock....I showed the technique to you in that video...
  18. Matt...then what was that conversation all about the other night then?.....
  19. that would be the rod and giant weight that I borrowed from day5...or was it BFR....can't remember....haha
  20. LOL.....Very funny Matt.....I heard a rumor that I use a dip net to catch all my small mouth with to....
  21. awesome...thanks guys....I make a ton of crazy big streamers for smallies.....Can't wait to turn them into chrome goodness...
  22. slow and deep....target lily pad areas and weed beds that are still green and alive....I fish a full sink line this time of year with big clousers, half and halfs, leeches......60 degrees should put them in a feeding mode....especially if it's sunny outside and the water warms a little...
  23. buddy...you should ask questions before you jump to conclusions...no it wasn't fouled...it was indeed in the mouth...that is the line wrapped around my hand and fish after I brought her in.....I am an ethical angler thanks....Maybe it's you we should expect to see better things from in the future....
