  1. Filet the meat off the breast and dredge it in a spiced up flour breading. Deep fry and wet with wing sauce. Buffalo Dove Bites. And the wing covert feathers make wicked soft hackles...
  2. I love my Peak and use it more than my Regal or NorVise.
  3. What's the tail material in the first one? All of those will catch fish - keep it up!
  4. I'm in St. Louis. Taking my son to the Current tomorrow...
  5. I can't believe I missed this! Sometimes life gets in the way - been super busy at home and at work recently. Hope all is well with everyone - with any luck, I'll get some more time at the vice and here as well.
  6. I got a $100 box with Regal Medallion in the bottom once...
  7. I fished my dove/muskrat soft hackle at Taneycomo (SW MO) last weekend and absolutely tore up the trout. They ignored my scuds altogether, which is very unusual...
  8. Got mine today - nice flies from everyone. Thanks for hosting.
  9. In the mail. Please keep any extras...
  10. Addy, Please. And Merry Christmas to all!
  11. #14 "Red-Headed Dove Rat" Red Glass Bead Muskrat Dubbing Mourning Dove Collar I was hoping to get them finished this week, but I've been called out of town for work... Hopefully next weekend...
  12. Well, I was going to say I'm in, but you beat me to it! My Bald Eagle/Spotted Owl scud would have been perfect for this, but I'll pick a different critter and let you know.
  13. Can we get a picture of the hopper for inspiration?
  14. Bob - just wondering if mine showed up. I think I completely forgot to put my name on the box - but they were shipped in a small aluminum cigar tin...for an added attractant smell...
  15. Mine should be in the mail in the next day or two. Thanks for doing this...
  16. I like the idea of the harvest swap. I've got quite a few feathers to use up. Turkey, dove (makes great soft hackles), chukkar, ducks of all types...
  17. Mike, yours are in the mail today.
  18. Flies were sorted and dropped in the mailbox late yesterday afternoon. BigMike, I need to hit up a post office and I'll get yours out ASAP.
  19. Sorry guys - I got called out of town. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll get them packed up. Still no word from our wayward tyers, though...
  20. OK - the jury has spoken. I'll give them until Sunday to answer their messages and if they say the flies are coming we'll wait, if I get no answer, I'll ship them out to you early next week.
  21. All I hear is crickets. Here's the story, folks: We're 3 days past the due date and we are still missing flies from Propain_AZ (last online 6/16 with no answer to PM), mridenour (last online 7/10 with no answer to PM, but a note about a fishing trip in July), and Phishy (last online7/22). Phishy said she would be mailing her flies ASAP on the 22nd, but I have not heard if or when they went out. Mail from Canada may as well still travel across the border on horseback, so if they're in the mail, it might be a while... I believe this was a first swap for both all three swappers. Not a real good start. We all know life gets in the way sometimes, but if you need to drop out, don't wait until the last minute. I'm going to leave it up to those of you who got your bugs in on time to decide what I do next. Let's go best of five for the first to answer the following questions: Do we wait a few more days and see if anything shows up here, or do you want me to pack them up and send them out? As for extras, I can return them or donate them locally - you tell me... Thanks -
  22. Nothing in the mail today. Phishy, Propain_AZ, & mridenour, how about an update?
  23. Today we have arrivals from Big Mike64 and jd1983. Only three sets left to get here...
