  1. Don't forget that the base turns into a very rigid clamp that can be attached to a very thick surface (pick nick table, etc). In addition to the Master base I picked up the base plate which has a weight of three pounds. This way I can have a very versatile setup to tye almost anything.
  2. Guys, thanks again for all the suggestions and feedback. I have decided to go with the Swiss Master Vise because of the vises diversity and adjustability. Mark Hogue of Eflytier put together a really nice review of this item and was kind enough to take the time to cover all of the vises plus marks (not one negative thing to say either). It turns out that he and I both dislike the Renzetti Master for the same reason so we both got a chuckle from that. :yahoo: Anyway, here's a link to Marks in depth overview of the Swiss Master. http://www.mwflytying.com/tools/Swiss_vise.html Once again, the input was much appreciated and welcomed.................... Oh, just a little plug for Petitjean and his company - he employes over 70 handicapped workers at his factory and I am happy to know that at least some of my money spent is towards a good cause.
  3. I started to tie saltwater epoxy flies and a true rotary would make this a much easier job.
  4. Guys, thanks for all the input - so now I have a lot to mull over. Anyway, the Renzetti is an easy vise to find and get parts for including extra jaws and accesories. Don't know much about the LAW vise so can someone point me in the direction of who is selling this in the USA. :headbang: Hummmm, the TMC vise is interesting - Check out the link http://english.tiemco.co.jp/project/fishin...modity_code=814
  5. Hello, I have been tying on Regal Medallion & API Spartan vises for years and have been toying with the idea of getting a rotary vise. I tie anything from #24 to Saltwater fliers so I will need a vise that can handle the full spectrum............. It seems that the Renzetti Master vise is pretty common and well liked but what about the C&F Reference vise. Quality looks nice but has anyone seen or used one. I can't even seem to locate the size range of the hooks that it will handle . Well, I hope that someone can make a few suggestions and point me in the correct direction. Oh, and my moto is "Get The Best Tools You Can Afford" you'll be happier in the long run.
