  1. Were you able to recess the screw heads in the bottom or do they aid in the vacuums effectiveness if they stick out a bit? The norvise looks sharp mounted on a nice piece of

Stone. Mind if i borrow your idea?

yes I recessed them just by grinding out with a larger bit to fit the head. Have at it. I've been really happy with the added weight

I picked up a nice piece of black granite today. What type and sizebit did you use to drill the holes? Any idea what size the screws are? Going to definitely need to get longer ones..

  2. I have had my present phone going on 4 years, It is a casio gzone type v.. Water resistant and mil spec for shock and dust resistance.. My delimma is this,, its no longer water resistant thanks to me dropping it open from 20 ft up ona telephone pole. Thats what i get for answering my personal phone while working. Its cracked.. But still works..

Do i buy a referb off ebay for 50.. And feel ok about taking it fishing. Or do i splurge 150+$

for a smartphone with all the bells and whistles. I am on verizon, no intention of jumping ship at the moment... Any recommendations? Other than going with the refurb, i have been looking at the droid x, iphone 4, and the htc thunderbolt in 4g.. I just cant decide..

  3. Still trying to figure out what problem this design solves? Other than the variable tension, which other bobbins have, what are the supposed advantages of this bobbin? The irregular shape would make this bobbin a bear to spin, which is a key reason why I would probably never buy one, but it certainly is a curious design.

Curious. What is he charging for these? No info on the web site

  4. Also is that a piece of stone that your norvise is mounted to?

  5. The tray in question doesn't actually slide. Its got two long U shaped brackets on each end that allow the tray to slide onto a countertop. Part of the fabric sits under the vise securing it in place, and then it has the basket that extends about 3" off your tying area allowing you to slide material from the tying area to the waste area.

Here is a pic of mine:

And yes, mine was $2.88 also. Too good of a deal to pass up, but definitely not worth the full retail price.

    What was full retail originally?
