  1. Don't think this is a good reply to your question haha But from what I've noticed, most fish that are missing eyes happen from people hooking them in the eyes. Is the creek you fish heavily fished?
  2. So I haven't been on here much with DLP class, working full time, and fishing in my free time, so I'm due for a swap. Who wants in on a Dry Fly swap, I was thinking tie your favorite small wild trout stream dry fly for your pattern. Lets see if you can fill 12 to 15 slots on this. Here are the swap rules: Post on thread that your in the swap and name the pattern your tying When flies are done, PM me for my address When mailing flies, include a return envelope with your address and close to the correct return postage. All flies are to get to me by September 15th 1.Big J - #14 Black Ant 2.FisheyeDon - #18 Black Cripple 3. Famill00 SWAP CLOSED
  3. I haven't really been on in a while due to the software change, summer job, summer online classes, and fishing in the spare time. Haven't had a whole lot of time to tie flies, but usually tie about once a week still. I know I will probably be more active in late fall and winter when all the swaps start up again in mass and I have time to actually tie flies haha

  10. They are about an inch and a half to two inches was the biggest. They were dark and some had a redish orange on them. Going to try and catch one next time I go back.
  11. There is a pond I fish that is loaded with Dark colored newts. Does anyone know a good newt pattern as I think it would be a great pattern for bass!

  13. How many vises you have? I counted 7 in the picture! haha
  14. It is. Caught over twenty panfish that day with bluegill and sunfish being the majority. Was actually quite shocked when that big bass took the size 12 fly. Oh well, I'm not complaining

  19. Here is a link explaining the polish weave. Polish Weave
  20. Here is my favorite warmwater fly and has been the most successful pattern for bass and bluegill. It's called a cajun tickler and here are some size 12 ones I just tied up.
  21. There is a user named bullship on this forum who fishes for them quite regularly. Send him a PM and I'm sure he'll help.
  22. You see any signs of a hatch going on or get a good look at what the fish was rising at?
  23. If SJW and egg patterns are being named, I guess I'll throw out there Green Weenies and Pink Weenies. They catch fish! Something with Pink Weenies and Wild Brookies.....It just works. Green Weenies tend to work better for bows.
