Every year about this time I mix up a few batches of dubbing wax specifically for tying soft-hackle flies. And as usual I made more than I will need. So I propose to package up a selection of waxes and offer them as prizes to whoever is first to identify the author of the following quotes. (I will give one a day until Halloween.) The first quote should be familiar to most: Hi Bruce, Got these in the mail yesterday and they are very cool. Handy little dispensers and even descriptions on each. We here in Mass. are just getting over a 4 day power outage from a nasty storm so I haven't had any time at the bench to test any but will send you an email as soon as I do. Thanks Again! Jeff

Hi dwiltshire, Great Brassie! Could you tell me the size of the Ultra Wire used on this pattern for the sizes of hooks listed? Thanks for your time! Jeff D.

As an avid fly tier and even bigger dog lover this is the best thing I've read in a while! What better way to keep mans best friend with you when you can't take them with you to the river. Really like the comment of naming the fly after your dog in his/her honor and more important in his/her memory. Thanks to all that posted! You guys rock! P.S. Whiskers make awesome tailing stock on a dry fly.
