  1. Thats a great looking box Paco. Gratz on your first muskie of the year too man. I'm about done with my steelheading for a while so it'll be time for me to hit the muskie water too.
  2. Congratulations and keep up the good work. Put those flies in a glass case and hang it up to display. Very cool stuff.
  3. I've been trying to glue some zonker strips together for a double bunny fly but when the glue dries it causes the zaon to be brittle and break. I've seen these flies done before but I cant figure out the adhesive that their using. Anyone know the secret?
  4. Welcome to the Forum Fanatik. Glad you chose to post it up on the Muskie forum. I'm loving the EP fibers for these critters as well. It doesn't soak up too much water so casting them isn't bad at all. The water coming together for spring pretty early around here so hopefully we can start getting into some fish soon. I'm also a firm believer in bigger the better for Muskie. I've got some articulated patterns that are nothing but reverse tied bucktail and lots of schalppen. They fly pretty well with the ten weight.
  5. Yea shoot him an email and let him know your mailing some. If you wanna come tie some in South Bend just let me know. I'll save ya a seat. And we'll have to know a little in advance so you'll have a meal too.
  6. Very nice man. I've got a little over 60 tied and on March 3rd I'll be in South Bend tying as many as I can knock out in 8 hours. Theres gonna be a big dinner and a couple big time tyers there showing how to do some complex patterns. If you can make it down Ben that'd be awesome. By the way did you email Tim and tell him your involved?
  7. They would like them all to be the same pattern. If you can get guys in your club to all tie a dozen or so, you should be able to come up with your numbers. Thanks for participating and be sure to email Tim from the link I posted about the pattern you have chosen. There is also a list of flies on there to choose from. 50 of a pattern and 50 of another should be fine too.
  8. Hobby Lobby sells marabou neck things for costumes. Stuff drag queens wear. Its a piece about 4 feet long for less then 6 bucks. They have a clown colored one that has alot of exotic colors on it. Pretty fun to wear when no ones looking too lol.
  9. All together we've reached 5100 flies. If I can get a few more people off here that'd be great.
  10. Yea I had that happen too. Their more then willing to pitch in for a cause.
  11. Cmon guys. its for a good cause. If you can't come up with 100 its no big deal. People have been donating 50 or less even. Anything helps.
  12. Thanks for signing up! March 3rd is the date they need to be here by. Spread the word
  13. Theres a link here that can explain what this organization is doing better then what I can. I'm tying 200 flie for the cause; they ask that you tie 100 of the same fly. It sounds like alot but we still have over a month to get it done. I thought this would be a good site to advertise it on because your a good bunch of guys. Even if your far from South Bend, dont be scared to get involved. You can always mail your flies to them. Thats what I'm doing. If you decide to participate, please post so on here so I can keep track of how many get involved and send Tim an Email from this link letting him know what your going to be tying. http://sjrvff.com/?page_id=182 Theres a strict list of flies they will be accepting so please note this before buying your materials. Theres something for every style of tyer though. Thanks for your help guys. I look forward to seeing how many I can get recruited off this forum.

  15. Its not about how many fish you catch in life, its about where flyfishing takes you in life.
