  1. Thanks Squeezy. My photo skills might be worse than my tying skills ha ha.
  2. Next challenge. How about an Ausable Wulff
  3. Pink Pookie / Dean Reiner / Livingston MT Hook: 2XL nymph hook (this one’s a 12)* Thread: Red UTC Ultra-Thread 140 Denier Foam: 2mm craft foam. Tan foam for the wing, pink for the belly. Under-Wing: Natural deer hair or cow elk. Indicator Post: Small slip of 2mm craft foam– Orange Legs: Rubber legs, medium yellow/black barred * I like a nymph hook instead of a dry. They seem to tip over less on the water. Super glue is my friend with foam flies.
  4. The Mardi Gras? I thought you were talking about me in this thread.
  5. Man some exceptional flies everyone is posting. Thanks everyone. Norm - those flies are beautiful - I mean really beautiful. Looks like you'll become the leading authority on duck wings! 🦆
  6. Regal should have said. " Your handle is on the way. Thank You for using Regal."
  7. South America small stream Golden Durado. https://youtu.be/440_Ylns4gM
  8. Hey SBPatt - I think your Foam-Backed Sedgehog would make an excellent, long floating traveling sedge imitation for lakes. Maybe an olive color size 8 and 10. Thanks
  9. Hey Chasing_Tails- You're Raggedy Stone is awesome.
  10. That was tough! It pained me to have some of my faves lose.

    Ukraine

Timely! Any tiers here from Ukraine? In my thoughts and prayers.
  12. An online fly tying catalog might be a good place to start. Lots of pics of feathers. There are many online shops. Google fly tying catalog.
  13. Although I've never had a pair of high end waders, I've tried a few on that fit too snug in the feet. Easy on and off is of huge importance to an old timer like me. I fish a lot of brushy stuff. Cabelas high and dry work nicely but they do leak pretty quickly. Does anyone have a suggestion?
  14. I used white thread with no color preserver years ago for a see through wrap.
  15. It would look cooler if it was maroon and white. Ha ha
  16. There are tons of great instructional videos out there so nowadays you can really get up to speed quickly. But over the last 50 years, I found the main differences between a good nympher and a not so good nympher is believing. It might sound nuts and simplistic but that is THE difference. You gotta believe every bump and hesitation is a fish. As they say, hook sets are free so use them - especially when your beginning.
