  1. Hello, Yes I am between the cape fear and the northeast cape fear rivers, long creek half a mile down the road, less then 30 mins from wrightsville beach, not far from the black river, I have fishing all around me. I hoping to be able to get set up and do some saltwater fishing, blues and spanish, but I sure do love catching a mess of gills with a fly rod. True I don't have trout here but got plenty of other fish to keep me busy.
  2. I'll try to post some pics, camera not working right now.
  3. Hello all, recently I was given some flies from a freind, I have never seen flies this heavy, I'm sure he thought I would use these in salt water, but how does one cast flies this heavy, they have dumb bell eyes about 1/4 inch in diameter, not sure the weight, but heavy for a fly. My current rod in a 5 weight, 7 ft, I'm assuming a heavier rod would be needed for these flies. Thanks James
  4. Hello all, my name is James and I live in Rocky Point, been fishing my whole life, and only recently started fly fishing, mostly for gills but would like to try saltwater also, just can't imagine a bluefish or spanish on a fly rod.
