did something a little diff and made a pinfish deceiver, camera being real stupid and bluring some of the fly, bah:

ive got some strung chinese saddle hackle...

ok i havent tried tying a seaducer yet because my "saddle hackle" looks nothing close to what is on this fly, to me this saddle hackle has the flex of marabou. is this a different kind of "saddle hackle," is it soft saddle hackle?

finally broke down today and bought a St. Croix Avid Travel Rod 9' 9wt with a cimarron 4, put some 9 wt line on it with 20lb backing and some scientific angler saltwater mastery line. thing feels light as a feather and the cork grip is sooooo smooth... now all i need to do is use this thing!
