If you can get out of town an hour to an hour and a half head south west towards the Drayton Valley & Lodgepole area. Brazeau Dam area has several worth while stops. Beautiful drive on top of it and you won't run into much for traffic. Some better areas of the North Saskatchewan River you will cross driving there also that you could try some bait fish patterns on the walleye. PM me if you would like more details.
