Wire, yeah i use it but i only use 11# Surflon and never had a bite off. Just recently however, i've started using Flouro at only 17# with never having a lost fly....Yet. Where i see many people loosing flys/fish is when they try and overpower the fish from inexperience, me included, with at first having a spin fishing mentality fly fishing. Since then i haven't lost one (knock on wood) but as the pike i start catching get bigger, i will confidently use my 11# Surflon, or 30#-50# flouro.

The FS Cuda does seem bigger than the Jr. but the arm on both is 3/8", and same OAL just under 7" (rotary handle has more bulk making it look longer). Jaws and forcing cone are interchangable and are of no difference.

Yeah, the bearings are different.....Both however of decent quality, it's just that the bearing O.D. is narrowed and i'd say you are looking at a 1/16 ball as apposed to a 3/16. It looks like the same company/brand of bearings though. When they go on mine (accidently of course :whistle: ) i'm probably putting in ceramic.
