have you caught anything with them

I am getting into salmon fishing, i wanted to buy flies but they were to expensive for how i fish. I am newer to tying so is there any easy salmon flies that i could tie besides egg patterns.

Where do you find those sinkers on the head?

I'm new, so what exactly is a swap club? I am also kind of new to tying so is there a minimal skill level you must be to join one. I don't want to swap a less than average fly for an perfect one.

Also How do you put a fly in the pattern base

I am pretty new to fly tying, so does anyone know any good, easy flies that beginners could tie?
