  1. i have personally "harvested" just short of 20 bucktails just in the past 3 years via roadkill. not to derail the topic, i find the ribbons, laces, textiles to give neat look under a clear scud back. also i like all the paint and epoxies section- lots more and lots cheaper
  2. ADVICE : Hiwassee River, TN and surrounding Any info on suggested PDF files, maps, books, atlases, forest road accesses? I dont necessarily want your honey hole, just a way to find my own. In accordance with DADT. feel free to PM me. I am heading up there on the 4th from bham alabama and would like to do some adventure fishing on my own. If anyone else wants to show a trout newbie (not a flyfishing newbie) around let me know. I could probably save you a steak at the campfire. Also, I know of the Hiwassee guide published in 1993. That is outdated now from my info since the TVA is scheduled releases and different access points. Last question. How has the been fishing above the powerhouse? feel free to PM or Email thanks tylerp
  3. apologies... grandmother in the hospital. she is stable now, so, took a break from being there and whipped out a 6 hour tying session to fulfill different swap obligations... thanks again.
  4. apologies... grandmother in the hospital. she is stable now, so, took a break from being there and whipped out a 6 hour tying session to fulfill different swap obligations... thanks again. mine are done, i just cant figure out where to send them. address???
  5. got my set today, and they do look good... so already caught about 20 fish on 'em will post pics when out of the boonies and back w/ high speed internet. Thanks a lot guys on the vast assortment.
  6. fyi - i will never send a pattern that doesn't catch fish; that is my motto. i have been testing this fly the past couple weekends and it is AWESOME! Especially in the stillwater sections of creeks about 20-25 foot wide with slightly cloudy water. cast this bad boy upstream in the middle water and then slow retrieve bought 3" strips. the flash draws them in from both banks... and sorry if yall were expecting a topwater...
  7. I recommend your local shop. What they don't have, j stockard is really good. That will be the best combo of price and customer service. Cause both places want/need your business. And both can give good advice.
  8. Murray's magnum bluegill variation, it will catch them slabs! Tying to commence...
  9. Thanks, I'll try but am pretty tied to bham at the moment. School and all.... But thanks for the info. Will check them out.
  10. Howdy! Thanks for allowing me to join. Will post my pattern soon. Thanks.
  11. Any club members on here? Anyone know of any area clubs?
