  1. I am new to tying tube intruders with tungsten eyes and notized that throwing them in my rain barrel they of course sink rapidly head forward. Now I am wondering how important it is that my flies are balanced and sink equally? I am fishing for salmon and steelhead in the Skeena system with a T14 tip and 3-4 foot mono leader. Thanks for any advice
  2. Hello, I just started fly tying and would like to introduce my first tubes I am preparing for a trip to the Skeena and Copper river in BC/Canada this August. The core of the fly is a metal tube plus a metal cone. The second picture is a Hawaiian punch zonker stripe Comments and suggestions are welcome Thanks
  3. yeap, the you tube video is from Andy Weiss, I met him at the EWF in Munich a couple of weeks ago. Pretty amazing colours, can't wait to test them at the Skeena, where do you fish? The only thing I am concerned with all the fancy flies in this forum is that when fishing deep with heavy leaders you snagg a lot of flies every day. Therefore I am fishing more simple patterns when fishing a spot for the first time...
  4. Hi, I am preparing for a trip to the Skeena in late August and wonder if anybody has experience with using zonker stripes on steelhead. I am pretty new to tying tubes and found some amazing material called tiger barred zonker stripes...any advise also on colour schemes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
