  1. If you are ever in Springfield, check out Plateau Fly Shop. The owner is one of the friendliest and most helpful person I have met.
  2. I would go with a Dyna King Trekker. the standard jaws will hold 8/0 to 22. If you are going to be tying a lot of flies in the 12-32 size range, you might also look into the midge jaws.
  3. I'm surprised the Renzetti crowd hasn't chimed in yet. I tie on a Dyna King Trekker. Amazing holding power on large hooks. The standard jaws are supposed to hold 8/0 to size 22. I find that size 12's and 10's slip a bit. I have ordered the midge jaws to solve that problem. I also LOVE the base that comes with the vise, nice and heavy. Overall the vise is built like a tank, I hope it will last a long time.

  5. I bought a package of sow scud dubbing today. Looks like some good stuff.
  6. What is your favorite scud dubbing and what is your favorite color? I have been using Ice Dub but I want to explore different possibilities.
  7. I have a large mug full of junk flies. I use those as my bluegill and bass flies.
  8. Crawfish Orange Bunny Leech, BH Pheasant Tail, and Psycho Princes for 5 wt. Mike Schmidts Mufasa, Large Popper, Hangtime Optic Minnow for 9 wt. Dynamic Nymphing by George Daniel to sharpen skills. I would bring arrows for hunting as the misc Item. April Vokey to catch fish when I can't.
  9. I like Rio Gold as an all around line.
