  1. I have more Mustad Than Any Other Brand In My Hook drawer
  2. I saw an episode the other day on Pursuit. I liked it!
  3. Looks good. I've been thinking about trying some.
  4. I usually just leave the rod I'm fishing with laying between my legs pointing forward. My fly rod lays perfectly in my tankwell beside my crate, pointing toward the rear. I made a rod float out of a pool noodle just in case it would happen to fall out.
  5. I've caught bluegills on cigarette butts and dandelion flowers before
  6. Anyone ever try circle hooks? I read online a 3/0 circle hooks around the beak. I hooked one over the summer and lost it when it jumped.
  7. I got a gift card for Christmas and am thinking about getting a new 8wt. Cabelas has their lsi and l-tech rods on sale. Are these good rods? Which would you choose? I mostly fish freshwater bass.
  8. I made one out of a pistol case. I used aerosol spray glue to glue 4 sheets of 2mm craft foam together. After they were dry I cut them to shape. I used a ruler and sharpie to mark the foam where the slits would be cut. To cut the foam I used a razor knife set to cut through 3 of the foam sheets. After cutting the slits I glued the foam into the box. I scuffed the inside of the box with steel wool and used Gorilla Glue to glue the foam to the box.
  9. Dry-Royal Wulff size 10 Nymph-Flashback Pheasant Tail sizes. 12-16 Streamer-Wooly Bugger sizes 4,6 black or olive
  10. Leave the spinning and casting rods at home. Tie enough to fill a couple warmwater boxes. Catch carp, gar, and catfish on the fly.
  11. One of my favorite holes is below a bridge that is loaded with bird nests. I've often wondered what would best imitate an unfortunate bird.
