What materials u use

Does it have to be gamakatsu or can I use any ol hook of same §ìžè

I found about a foot of backin while camping and made a fly out of it only caught a creak chub and a 1 rainbowPp though

I only been tying for bout 3 mouths and I somehow can go to a creak and cacth my limit($î×) I use dead skinand what ever hair, sting,like stuff or feathers I can find
