First attempt at this fly and first time seriously spinning deer hair, honest opinions wanted for improvement. I won a sight fishing trip for reds with a local guide/member of our fly club at a CCA banquet, so I've been trying to tie a bunch of different redfish flies lately.

Ive been using a renzetti apprentice for a few years, my father in law just gave me a dyna king barracuda to use, my question is, is this thing supposed to spin on the vertical shaft all the time? I cant figure out how to stop it. I reckon if it is that's something Im a have to get used to on this high dollar vices. thanks

Wood, hit me up when you get down this way, I haven't been out in a few weeks now, I started a new job and the creeks I've been trout fishing have been hit hard by netters... PR I generally don't make a habit of wearing dresses HAHA

Trying to relearn flytying as well. heres an albie from last sunday Lamiglas 7wt and TFO BVK on a pink/chartreuse epoxy head I tied up.
