Remember sparsly tied clousers using crystal flash are always your friend wether on a river fishing smallies or big trout or on the salt for coho searun cuts or flounder stripers and blues
-
Yeah i thought about that im pretty sure if added alonger black tail it would be a good rat pattern i dont go all out with ears or legs i beilive just a sihloutte would make fish bite
-
Searun cutts would feast on those
-
Musky/ northerns River herring then carp then whitebass those river herrinh aka hickory shad man they are like freshwater tarpon
-
Are there two game changers the one i know of is spun minnow flash on the articulated j lock system. But i saw blyane using this variation on dahlbergs hunt for big fish. My buddy things tge spun fly is the only gamechanger
-
Nothing really i hate maple and oak fish they suck espcially after the first fall storms here in pa while trout fishing. Suprisingly i love catching big creek chubs on the fly some of tgem 7 to 9 inchers make ya think you got a small brookie on. Carp on the fly is where its at and big suckers i called freshwater bonefish. And big river herrining they leap and pull like a micro tarpon

So not having minnow wrap or the specialised j lock joints i decided to tie blain chokletts game changer with elk hair. And on a double hook set up and wire to attach the trailer. But after finishing the rough draft i think i might be on to something. Here in pa we have moteled suckers and the variations in color of the elk hair almost mimics these suckers what do you all think as far as if a musky pike or bass would take a swipe at this

either a disco damsel or a shiney minnow?

sorry about the pic its real grainy -
hey I had an idea of a fly thats basically a slim mylar tube body and tail but i added two rubber legs at the head o was first thinking it might mimmick a salamander but when i looked closer at the finished product i snipped the legs quite short it looked like a minnow of some sort. by buddy says it looks like a disco dasmel which he called it when i did it with a blue deer hair.
