  8. Good luck. I use to sell smallmouth bass flys that was only found in this area. The biggest mistake I made was selling to cheap especially to my friends. I also started off of forums and created my own website. Sold them all over the US just should have priced them more. One guy even liked 1 lb in setting a lake record in Califorina on one of my smallmouth flys. If you have a product that will catch fish people will buy. Get you some good contacts and a good market plan. I will always remember a sign in this store I saw. We sell products that catch fish not fisherman.

  13. Thanks caught 8 more today on the same fly. 7 rainbows and 1 nice brown. I checked it at the end of the day and the wire started coming loose. So I landed 10 total and lost only 2. Not too bad. I guess they dont last forever. I love fishing the SOHO.

  16. TFO makes a couple around 7.5 a 2 piece for around $120 and a 4 piece around $150. I looked at them yesterday seems to be well made.
  17. Thanks everyone probably go for a 7 or a 7.5 graphite 3 or 4 wt.
  18. Finally caught a fish with my flies this afternoon. Actually caught 2.
  19. I just started fly fishing a few weeks ago and fish mainly the SOHO river. One of my fishing buddies also started fly fishing the rivers with me. However he has a lot of small streams near him and we have been thinking about fishing them with the fly rods. He has spent 1,000s of hrs spin fishing them. I grew up stream fishing with spinning tackle. So im excited to branch out a little. My river rod is a 9 ft 5 wt so originally I thought getting a 7 1/2 foot 3 wt. Today I went to a fly fishing show with several local fly shops and speakers. I spoke to one of the top guides in the area about a rod and he suggested that the 7 1/2 4 wt would be better a 3 wt. Also said that a glass rod may be worth looking into. I spoke to another fly shop (looking at the TFO sig series 7 1/2 3 wt and he advised if I went that route to use 4 wt line) said roll casting would be easier. Dont want to spend a fortune was thinking about a CGT cabelas glass rod but have read mixed reviews. Found cabellas have the redington CT trout series on sale. Was thinking also about one of the $100 cabela combos since I may not got that often. So I guess I'm just puzzled on exactly what to get right now I'm thinking 7 or 7 1/2 4 wt. thanks for advice. Sorry for the long post
