Will - I have to agree with you regarding the amount of material on the hook. I Need to get it in the water to know for sure but I would like to find a way to tie it with less hackle but without showing the thread. Your fly looks great! Quinn

I would go for the Renzetti Traveler at $165.00 over the HMH Spartan. As a true-rotary vise you will find it helpful when wrapping bodies and working with epoxy. You would also have $35.00 to put towards materials. Cheers Quinn

I found this pattern online and thought I'd give it a shot in natural grizzly with a beadhead. I'm thinking the smallmouth will be all over it but I won't know for sure for a couple months. Quinn

The progression of the Adams is a great example for beginners to see everyone starts off the same. You just have to put your time in and the quality will get there. Thanks for posting! Quinn

Very Nice! Quinn -
Great job on the wood special! It's nice to see what I concider to be a local to northern New England pattern tied as beautiful as you have. That folded wing can be tough to get right and was always a struggle for me. Another similar and just as effective pattern is the Brown Owl. Cheers Quinn
