  1. I was thinking about that last time I tied Clousers. When I turn the fly I started spiking my thumb holding the material on purpose so I did not stick myself harder.
  2. It is yours! I have the last spot possibly filled with someone via pm. I am just waiting on a response.
  3. Thanks to this thread, I was looking at flip flops in a new light in Walmart last night.
  4. When tying in the tinsel for the tip, you leave enough of a tag for the ribbing correct? Or is it supposed to be a second piece? I was looking in the book last night for the answer and could not find it. Also the only video I have found, he did not tie a tip in. I tied a couple with a continuous piece and it looks ok, I just want to do it correct.
  5. Awesome! Thank You. 4 Spots left!
  6. That is perfect! I just spent a lot of time looking into UV resins before I bought mine and something like this would have been an immeasurable help. That is the main reason I feel strongly on the issue, I know someone else will have all the same questions I had and there really is not a lot of comparisons out there.
  7. "Yep. I'm making a point to take the science out of it. I'm looking at it as an end consumer who has no interest in chemistry or nanometers. The question I'm asking during this experiment is "does it work." " As long as you are clear like this, my panties will be "unbunched". You still need to define what a "common man" is expecting from a UV resin. What defines "it works"? * I guess what I am asking is how can you say something meets a common mans criteria without saying what those criteria are? I assume those baselines of some kind will be in the results.
  8. Your in! No need to tell unless you want
  9. welcome aboard! Your last set was great!

  11. Pics are up! Thanks everyone for providing some great looking flies!
  12. Mine will be shipping out on Monday. I under estimated how much hair is needed to do a solid color on 12 flies so there is 6 Brown and 6 Grey mice. This was also my first attempt at incorporating weedless into a fly, so I hope it works well. I got a bunch of blank stares at the P.O. when I asked about IRC so I will probably just use paypal if that is ok?
  13. I have not heard anything from the last person in 2 weeks when he said he would be a couple days late. I am not having any luck with pm's so I will give him until Sunday night to contact me. If i do not hear from him by then I will send them out on Mon. Thanks to everyone who participated and got the flies in on time! I will post pics up on Monday as well.
  14. I guess this will bring up the question of what is a normal person expecting when they open up a bottle of UV resin? Is it expected to out perform 5 min epoxy? 30 min epoxy? What did UV resins originally replace for fly tiers? I have not been tying for long so I assume it is replacing epoxy? I am looking forward to the results!
