Got mine! Thanks everyone, all the flies look great! Thank you troutguy for hosting as well.
-
With as fast as this filled up, I will probably start another clouser swap right after this one is finished. I have been having fun tying these!
-
I've been getting into spinning deer hair lately and need a supplier for good quality dyed hair. So, where do you guys buy your hair from? I am looking for larger pieces (12x4) to (12x12) inches. I bought the large hareline "select" deer and it has a ton of fur. I know it would be ideal to go to my local shop but I live on an island and the closest shop (30 miles) has just a couple small pieces in stock. Thanks!
-
That was always my go to color on small lakes where i grew up.
-
Feel free to send a classic or any kind of variation.
-
Awesome! That went fast. joseph russel you are #12. jmckaughan sorry, the swap is full. I will keep you in mind as an alt if anyone drops though. Have fun everyone! I look forward to seeing the school of clousers.
-
Sounds great! 1 spot left.
-
Thanks! I think there is room for 1 more unless I missed someone? This is my first time hosting so 12 + me = we all tie 12 and do not get one of our own back is what I was thinking.
-
Welcome! 2 spots left!

You can decide who you associate with. If you think censorship is right, (based on your feelings of course), the first Amendment disagrees with you. This is not a porn site, correct. A name does not make something porn. Objectionable is subjective. The teacher would be fine if the context was appropriate.
-
Censorship is wrong.
-
If you would consider it a clouser I will not argue 3 spots left!
-
I just got my order for clouser supplies so I figured it would be a good time for a swap. Any size, any color. As long as it is considered a clouser it is fair game. I am hoping for 12 to join this swap. I will do a due date of June 15th so that will give you over 6 weeks to finish and send them. International swappers are fine! I partially used fly tying to quit smoking so I saved money switching from a habit to a hobby lol.

Here is an article in the NZherald on the history. I need to point out that during the whole article he says bittern. The genus name Matuku is the term for “heron” or "bittern" in the Māori language. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/recreational-fishing/news/article.cfm?c_id=75&objectid=10780253 These are great looking flies! I also can not find any source for Matuka definition while the definition of Matuku fit perfect with a fly style.

2 weeks since pete logged in, 3 days for gramps. I do not mind you keeping any extra's or splitting is fine. I would not mind some critiquing via pm when everyone get their flies. This was my first big fly and first articulating fly as well.
