I've fished several rivers in Idaho where I have been reeling in a smaller (8") cutthroat and had a bull trout nip its tail on the way in. They are some seriously predatory fish, dont hesitate to use a big clouser or whistler. -Mark

I completely agree about the Metz hackles being mediocre at best. I have a #1 metz and it doesn't even come close to barbule density of my silver Whiting Necks. I will have to give these conranches a try. -Mark
