Dang dude hang in there. I fell 16 one time..luckily it had been raining all week and I landed in the grass..left an inprint in the ground like Willie Coyote...knocked the wind out of me and thats about it. I use to be a safety director at one time and went though a bunch of OSHA training. Out of all the falls in the US that result in a fatality ...7 out 10 are from 6 or less. I like these two Frog patterns he does. Ive been meaning to buy the stuff but havent got around to it yet. Looks like they be a nice light weight pattern that would snap dry with 1 or 2 false casts.

Mike youre from the south...I dont know about Florida but in Texas everything that grows has some kind of thorn or sticker on it...And if you fish from the shore/bank your fly line is constantly getting stuck in it.Who wants to trash a $60-$100 line by just grabbing l it and ripping it out of that mess. Constant aggravation. I either wade to get away from the bushes or I wear a stripping basket.

I’ve tied a lot of dragonflies and damselfly patterns in the past. Some impressionistic and some very realistic. Blue damselflies are everywhere down here in the south and fish eat them up. I basically don’t tie them anymore or fish them because everything I put wings on basically sucked for the reasons stated/posted above. I really like your wing concept. That’ll work just fine. I’m probably gonna have to try this. Thanks for the idea. Where are you getting that Worm tail at? Got a link or a name? T.I.A

Outstanding work my man! When I first moved to Texas in the early 80s there wasnt much out there about fly fishing for Bass... no YouTube or Internet. Just books magazines and fly tying clubs. People used to come up to me and tell me theres no trout in this lake...🤔 My redneck fishing buddy was always out fishing me so I decided to try to re-create some of his lures with deer hair. These are the results.... all of these are at least 25 years old.
