how do ya make the background black in the flower pic? normally theres other flowers and greenry in the background. i understand aim at the sun then take pic to make the subject black/shawdow'd. more tips and pics please -chris

man i love a night at the fair. brooks and dunn playing in the back ground. beautiful cowgirls walking around. the animals being shown by the local kids. hogs, cows, horses, goats just the smell of being at the fair brings back so many memories. rows and rows of over priced food vendors. selling 18" double dipped corn dogs, for $7. $3 20oz pepsi colas, $8 BBQ rib sandwhich's. MMMM funnel cakes, onion rings, kettle corn, roasted sweet corn dipped in a crockpot of melted real butter. o and carnies, just talkin to the carnies can become quite interesting. well we took colby to his first fair. he will be 3 next week. man he was loving it, riding all the lil kiddie ride for 3 tickets at a pop. all night long i kept away from the prize isles. you know thow a ball in the really small hoop win a 2 ft stuffed animal. might cost ya $75 in balls. come on daddy just one more throw... lol anyway i decided to go back and get another chicken on a stick kabob for $5..... :mrgreen: told colby come on lets go this way.... OMG walked right into the stuffed animal games... doh ok colbys first fair.i had $26 in ones in my wallet. no dale i wast at the lil place behind flying j...lol or the wife dont need to know. anyway walked up to a game. spent $3 and got 7 wiffel balls. i stood colby on the ledge and he threw them one by one. yeah bad idea. they went flying all over the place. knocking over the guys drink. bouncing out of the deal out into the side walk. bingo colby hit the ball in the only red cup. he won a lilttle scobby doo. man he was in heaven.... daddy look i won scooby..... yeah dad was eating it up. ok walking down the isle. came to a stand where they had huge stuffed animals 3-6foot tall animals. well ok $2 a toss or 3 for $5. i was going to let colby toss em. he said hed give colby a free toss. had to bounce a ball off a angled board and the ball has to land in a small basket. well i call BS bout dang near impossible. i didnt see anyone with any big animals at the fair. colby stands up we explain to him what to do. he tosses Boom right in the basket off the bounce. HAHAHA and of course the guy didnt pay out he said that was the free toss he let my boy do.. what ever dont see how you can rob a kid of a prize. im like which one you wnt son. he said the big scooby. nope he wouldnt give. ok just give me my dang 3 balls for $5. first toss boom right in the basket..... HA!!!!! sucka pay up, now son did you want that big scooby.... yeah daddy chris the green one. ok now he rings the bell whislte goes off he walks completly around the stand saying got a winner folks step right up. get your own chance big bill pays out, easy game 3 tosses for $5 1 for $2... bla bla bla. he hands colby the scooby. and im like well big bill i still got 2 tosses left.... he like take your animal and get out of here.... what the heck... im like give me $4 back for my other 2 tosses i havent used.... :mrgreen: hes like what ever you just won a $30 animal.... im like yep and im bout to win 2 more.... then the old lady made me leave..... man you shoulda seen colby's eyes light up when he was handed that big arse scooby. he carried that around the fair. it was bigger than he was. its all he could do to carry it. we ended up putting scooby in the stroller and carring colby..... lol. any way thats what fairs are all about. seeing the animals, women, games, food, concerts. and just being out with the family on a nice summer night. just thought id share tonights adventure..... record day at the fair 30,000 people in attendance -chris

well folks sunday im going to get a puppy for my sons 3rd birthday. its a lil german shorthair pointer. cant wait to see how excited he is. also i got some learning to do on the dog thing. its been awhile. any tips? advice? anyone have a shorthair? hows your experience with them? -chris

most of my stuff is wet for panfish. can you make a wet and dry wings? and is there a difference? if so is it the way they lay? or the material? ive been making a few dry flies and just sinking them with a bead head, it seems to work. but ive been skipping the wings cause they dont turn out...lol -chris

cool thanks for the tip. i just found out a farm pond i fish has a couple loud peacocks. anyway i walked over by its pen and picked up a hand full of very long peacock feathers. no which part do i use? ive never used peacock feathers. i got the whole thing eye and all. will i use them that much for wet flies? also on the hackle does natural colors work just as well as bright colors like orange, yellow, green, etc.....? thanks -chris

does anyone know if those vids can be downloaded and savedto the computer? just courious i was going to make a file of all the vids. i know photobucket vids can be saved. or once you get all the vids done.burn them on a cd and sell them for a for like $5 shipped. make some money for the site, id buy one. just a idea. these vids are a big help for the newbees like my self. can they be hosted or placed on this site for a direct download to my computer? -chris
